Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Agribusiness. DESCRIPTION: Federal farms is an organisation which, harvests, packs and sells vegetables grown on the rich black soil on the Holland Marsh near Toronto. The size and quality of the harvest underlines the exceptional fertility of its 400 acres. The sales manager maintains radio contact with men who buy from independent growers in the area, he gives them the latest market prices and the latest demands from the factory. Any surplus spuds are made into crisps and a thousand pound of crisps are produced every hour. SHOTLIST: Key scene. Men and women picking vegetables (2 shots).
