Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: HMS "Nelson" Hit in Convoy Attack. DESCRIPTION: The "Battle of the Convoys" continues on both the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. On this convoy in the Mediterranean we come under attack from the Italian navy but survived intact. SHOTLIST: Scenes taken aboard the "Prince of Wales" show "Ark Royal", "Nelson", "Rodney" and destroyers. The destroyer shot is perfect and should be remembered for further use. Guns blaze away as torpedo-bombers attack the fleet. One shot shows Nelson badly down by the head after receiving a direct hit from a torpedo. Various shots of prisoners aboard. POW cleaning up, etc. Good shot of convoy and good shot of Gibraltar. Shots of battleships in Line Ahead. And a shot of officers drinking to the portrait of Nelson. Shots of the "Victory" and the White Ensign. Shots of pom-poms firing.
