Emma Howard interviews Scotland Yard Commander David Stevens about the recently released London crime figures which show an increase in many areas but improvement in conviction rates. Rape is discussed, having increased by 38% and Stevens offers instruction on how women may stay safer on the streets. He is optimistic crime levels will fall in the future. Also comments on public order following recent riots in other cities.
