Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Tour in Paris (2nd Story). DESCRIPTION: The Reception at the Hotel de Ville. The Bois de Boulogne Garden Party. Military Review at Versailles. Lunch in the Hall of Mirrors. Unveiling of Australian Memorial. Return to Buckingham Palace. SHOTLIST: Their Majesties, accompanied by President and Madame Lebrun, travel down the Seine, to the Hotel de Ville, where they are received by the Paris Municipality. They are escorted by launches of the French Navy. In the afternoon, in the Bois de Boulogne, their majesties witness a display of dancing on a platform floating in the lake. On the following day, the King and Queen attend a luncheon in the famous Hall of Nurvons, at Versailles, waited on by actors from the Coméche Francaise, in period costumes. The day after, the Australian Memorial is unveiled at Villers Bretteneaux. The King and the Queen receive M Lebrun, and the King speaks and unveils the monument. Later, their majesties return to Buckingham Palace, amid wild scenes of enthusiasm. Night shots and crowds outside.
