Summary
Hopes of peace strengthen as returned Premier confers with Monsieur Daladier. British Paramount News reviews latest events at home and abroad, illustrating continued state of international tension. Again devoting the entire issue to the Crisis, we show pictures of the Prime Minister with Hitler, his return to London, the Cabinet arriving to meet him, and, among other events at home, the German ex-servicemen on their visit to London, and Mr Leslie Hore-Belisha opening new Tank Corps’ barracks. Abroad, scenes of the new Czechoslovakian Premier being acclaimed in Prague, and the calling to the Colours of nearly a million French Reservists, are the chief items.
