Summary
COI synopsis: Scientists and engineers are, today, exploring the outer reaches of heat and cold: how they can create, control and, when necessary, prevent either and how this will effect today’s society. Keith Mathews suffers from muscular dystrophy. Help may be available using intense cold. Using an electro-magnet that is kept at minus 270 degrees centigrade and harmless radio signals, doctors can monitor the degeneration of hydrogen and phosphorous in his wasting muscles, knowledge that could well help them to save his life.
