- Summary
- COI synopsis: Scientists and engineers are, today, exploring the outer reaches of heat and cold: how they can create, control and, when necessary, prevent either and how this will effect today’s society. A British inventor, John Charlton, has used the magnetic effect of electricity flowing down an old wire hawser to heat outdoor swimming pools even in northern climes. His system heats greenhouses without draining the pocket, allowing the market gardener to bring on early crops.
