Summary
COI synopsis: In an ideal world, all medical problems would be preventable. As yet, that hasn’t been achieved; but medicine and its associated technology is now offering the less fortunate amongst us a new freedom and independence - a life of their own. A return to blood-letting in the 20th century. Doctors have found that it really does help in a number of circulatory problems and that blood-letting could even prevent gangrene.
