NFA synopsis: This item on motor scooters opens with a scene of people waiting for the bus after work, which is full when it arrives and not everyone gets on. A boy on a scooter drives up and offers a lift to a girl who failed to get on the bus, and they are shown driving through the city. The scooter’s popularity is mentioned, and the film moves on to look at the Douglas factory at Kingswood, near Bristol - a Vespa factory. The works is seen, and the use of R.T.B steel in the construction of the scooters is emphasised. The film goes on to look at the BSA works in Birmingham, where a new British small scooter is shown being tested on a track. A Scooter Club outing to the R.T.B. Ebbw Vale factory is shown , with shots of open hearth furnaces. The film ends with various scenes of a night navigation rally by the Vespa Club of Great Britain, held near Bristol, with shots of the rally itself and people in an all-night snack bar. - Keywords
