Richard Thomas and Baldwins Group ("RTB")

Richard Thomas and Baldwins Group was formed through the mergers of several steel companies, including The Ebbw Vale Steel, Iron and Coal Company, Richard Thomas and Co. and Baldwins. Their works continued under the Richard Thomas and Baldwins Group until steel nationalization under the Labour Goverment in 1951, when it was absorbed into what is now known as the British Steel Corporation and 50% nationalized.

Between 1949 and 1959, the company sponsored a cinemagazine series, Ingot Pictorial, to encourage the staff morale and promote their work.
