NoS Summary - Craft of making flowers from shells is demonstrated
British Pathe synopsis: "Don’t throw away those nice pearly shells you find on the beach this year. Take them home and drill a hole in each, carefully." C/U of a woman’s hands as she drills a hole in a shell. "Then collect a little wire (you’ll get quite a lot from Hubby’s Wireless set), some sealing wax, a few leaves and thread, and follow carefully the way shown here." C/U of a woman’s hands as she constructs a flower with shells. C/U of woman sealing the bottom of the flower with wax. The wire stem is covered with ribbon or something similar. Leaves are attached to the stem. "And soon they’ll be singing about the girls who "sell shell-flowers from the sea shore." C/U of a vase in which the woman arranges a display of her shell flowers. C/U of another arrangement.
