Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "Filmed at Haslemere, Surrey". "And a most interesting job, too", said Miss Forbes, the Teacher, to her class as she lectured on one of the latest arrivals." L/S of a group of women sitting around a table in the garden of a large house. M/S of the girls taking notes as the teacher points out various things about the dog she has sat on the table. She holds up his paw and shows his teeth. "Doggies are no different to the rest of us - Castor oil is just as nasty to them, even though they can’t read the label -" M/S of group of trainee kennel maids holding on to a dog and attempting to squeeze some medicine out of a bottle into its mouth. They then pat the dog and give him a biscuit. "Just as much as a Doctor needs patients, so a doggie needs exercise - " L/S of the young kennel maids being dragged along by dogs on leads. They walk them around in a large field. "The kennel maid sometimes gets as much exercise as the dog - especially if it’s a big one - " High angle of the dogs being walked along a path. "Having no clocks, doggies know just one time - feeding time - " Various shots of outdoor kennels. High angle of dogs eating from bowls. M/S of kennel maid stroking dog inside the kennel. C/U of two little dogs. "A family affair." C/U of girl playing with two puppies whilst the mother dog looks on. C/U of woman holding two puppies.
