NoS Summary - Microbiology film - x-ray photography of a strange miniature pond creature.
British Pathe synopsis: "Rotifers - countless trillions of which exist in stagnant waters - " X-ray photography of microscopic pond life creatures. "We’re all interested to know that free rotifers swim by the corona, aided by the ciliated auricles, when present - (This is profound.)" Shot of a weird creature. "Taken from the water, the rotifer dies, but years later, if asked to have a drink, it will revive..." Another shot of the weird creature. Strange shot of circular pond life animals. "With a mouth about one millionth of an inch diameter, it eats particles of food almost too small to mention - " Microscope view of the amoeba like entity.

British Pathe Note: the style of this film is reminiscent of the early "Secrets of Nature" series - may have been shot by Percy Smith.
