- Summary
- COI synopsis: Industrial success can bring its own problems. One of them is that modern farming has made some of the older breeds of farm animals uneconomic and they have been replaced by other breeds. Farmer Joe Henson was so concerned about the threat to some of the world’s historic breeds that he founded the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, and converted part of his own farm into a rare breeds conservation park. Today the park is stocked with more than 40 rare breeds. London Line visited the farm park to find out why the preservation of rare breeds could be vital to the future of agriculture.
