Summary
British Pathe synopsis: Stourport. "Here’s a novelty for our rivers - a new double glider - " A group of middle aged people climb into a boat with a propeller at the back. "Air -propelled and light in draught, she just skims the surface." A man winds up and starts the propeller. The boat moves off. Looks like a catamaran as there are two canoe-like parts to the base of the vessel. Panning shot of the vessel moving through the water. C/U of the front of one of the canoe like feet. Overhead shot of the interesting contraption. Another overhead shot as the vessel moves away from the camera in the other direction. Various shots of the "glider" as it moves through the water. "Speedy and steady, gliding along..." View of the vessel from in front. C/U of some of the passengers from on board the boat. L/S of the boat gliding along.
