Summary

COI synopsis: This edition features the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, which was won outright by the British driver, Paddy Hopkirk, in a Morris Mini-Cooper S. The rally starts from several different points in Europe and ends at Monte Carlo. Although it is not a race, it is a relentless feat of skill and stamina for drivers and their cars, with such hazards as driving through the Alpes Maritime in winter and various speed tests at different points. Of the 299 starters, only 163 qualified at the finish.
