MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of Flowers. DESCRIPTION: Jersey’s annual parade full of colour and beauty. As always, much time and care has been lavished on the building of the splendid floats. Leading the procession was this year’s ‘Miss Jersey Battle of Flowers’ - Helen Bonney. SHOTLIST: FV Miss Jersey Battle of Flowers 1975 and her Maids of Honour & celebrity Stuart Gillies. BV florally decorated cars with girls on top in bikinis holding letters spelling JERSEY. FV "HOW" float with giant Indian head-dress on it with men dressed as Red Indians. GV carnival procession. SV papier mache model of caricature girl being carried. SV ditto (another model). LV float in shape of old Western type train. CU pan ladies waving from train. LV float in shape of castle. CU castle with smoke coming from parapet. SV small girls in garden of castle around maypole. TV models (real) in convertible car. GV parade of floats. SV crowd. SV float dedicated to ancient Greece. CU girl on float waving. FV pan a float made in abstract design. CU girl waving. LV pan follies float (celebration). Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
