Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Overlord Tapestry. DESCRIPTION: It has taken five years for twenty students of the Royal College of Needlework, to compete this tapestry record of Operation Overlord. The events of this World War II invasion of Europe have been worked in embroidery to a design by Miss Sandra Lawrence. The thirty-three panels of the tapestry are on show at the Guildhall, but as yet it has no permanent home. SHOTLIST: GV Guildhall. SV man entering hall. CU panel 3 depicting Blitz in London.
