MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The 1973 Derby - in Colour. DESCRIPTION: Epsom and midst all the fun of the fair the running of the 194th Derby. Movietone also looks back 20 years to Coronation 1953, when Sir Gordon Richards rode his first Derby winner. LV pan as No 13 takes the lead from Piggott, Morston passes the post to win. CU pan Edward Hide. GV as the winner enters the winner’s enclosure & jockey Hide dismounts. SV crowd watching. SV Morston angle shot Royal Family watching from box, general top view Morston surrounded by crowds. SV owner holding the Derby trophy. CU ditto in its case. SV head of Morston.
