Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Advanced Br Train - Colour. DESCRIPTION: Making its first press appearance, BR’s Advanced Passenger Train, designed to cruise at 155 mph. Already BR will have a service in operation on an inter-city route by the end of the next year. SHOTLIST: SV pan to BV new BR train on test run. LV interior engineers checking instruments. SV engineer with headphones on low angle shot to BV train comes into the depot. CU showing new bodies. General TV showing length of new train (stationary). 2 SVs interior 2 girls walk into compartment and sit down. Driver gets up into cab. 2 CUs driver in cab, push button controls. SV driver sitting at controls. CU driver’s hand operating power lever. 2 general views past as train slowly moves out from depot. Train moving past through marshalling yard. 2 CUs pan interior engineers looking at graphs. CU small oscilloscope with wiggly lines on it. GV pan the new train making another test run.
