Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wings Over Africa. DESCRIPTION: Flying in to a small airfield near London, a plane with a promise, the promise of medical care for many thousands of Africans who live in the scattered communities of Northern Nigeria. The African Flying Doctor Service is the first of its kind outside Australia, and this aircraft has been given to replace the original one which was destroyed in a storm, even before it flew its first mission. Both machines have been presented by Oxfam, and at this recent ceremony, a five thousand pound cheque was handed over as well to Dr Neil Duncan who is pioneering the service. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
