Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Down in the Drink. DESCRIPTION: Three dramatic events from real life, illustrating the hazards of coming down in the drink, where the consequences are so often fatal. Using a special experimental water-tank at Portsmouth, they’re carrying out practice drills, to help fliers of the future to save their lives if they ditch in the sea. The lesson of the course is that Panic Costs Lives. SHOTLIST: Key scene. Fighter bombers past camera collide and crash into sea. CU jet fighter lands on aircraft carrier. CU captain on bridge.
