Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Swift V Smith. DESCRIPTION: Nottingham’s Ice Rink, and the Reg King promotion between local boy Wally Swift and Tony Smith from Bootle. It was the final eliminator for a crack at the British and Empire Welterweight title holder, Brian Curvis. Both boys kept up the lively pace right through the 12 rounds, with Wally Swift in particular giving his supporters plenty to shout about.
