Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: World Cup - England Through. DESCRIPTION: Johnny Haynes and Portugal’s skipper Aguas exchanged courtesies and banners at Wembley. Aguas won the toss, and England went off in confident style. The least they needed was a draw to put them into the World Cup Finals in Chile next year. After 5 minutes, John Connelly scored the first goal, and shortly after came the second. There were no more goals in the second half. All the same, England were through! SHOTLIST: Key scene.
