Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Curvis the Conqueror. DESCRIPTION: At the Nottingham Ice Rink, Brian Curvis (the southpaw from Wales) met Wally Swift of Nottingham in a Reg King promotion. Curvis was defending his British and Empire welter-weight titles. It was fairly level pegging in the early rounds, but in the sixth, the Welshman was right on target, and after a few exchanges he had his man down for a long count. By the last round, the challenger was still behind on points. Now the fight raged so furiously, that they went on scrapping after the bell. Eventually, they were separated, and the verdict, together with the Lonsdale belt went to Curvis, who retains his titles. SHOTLIST: Key Scene. GV Curvis V Swift. LAS fight. MS fight. MCU fight.
