MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Duke of York Statue Fred Cleaned Up. DESCRIPTION: It was a long way up, 135 feet, in fact, for steeplejacks George Marquiss and Harry Watson gave Fred a thorough clean up. Fred is Frederick Augustus, Duke of York, second son of George III, one of the last members of the Royal Family to lead men into battle.
