- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: FA Cup Final. DESCRIPTION: About a hundred thousand people came to see the big match at Wembley. But first, the ceremonial: Blackburn Rovers (in track suits) come out with Wolverhampton Wanderers for their formal presentation to His Royal Highness, the Duke of Gloucester. Then, the exchange of banners between Bill Slater (Wolves) and Ronnie Clayton. Rovers kicked off and, in good weather, the star football match was on. Later, Dave Whelan was in a collision and was seriously injured, so Rovers were a man short all the second half. Two nil, and Blackburn, in spite of their handicap, made gallant efforts, but in vain.
