Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Riotous Rugger. DESCRIPTION: The Hospitals Rugby Final at Richmond saw a Royal visitor: Prince Philip came to see the encounter, and the teams were presented to him, before the battle commenced. The battle? Well, supporters of the two teams met in a violent clash of their own contrivance. Rotten tomatoes, flour grenades and soot bombs burst all over the place. There was real rugger, too. The London Hospital against St Thomas’s, who were on their way to an eight-nil victory, their fifteenth. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the match! SHOTLIST: MS teams out (London Hospital).
