Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Premier’s Tour - a Highlight. DESCRIPTION: Looking closely at a development plan in Lagos, Mr Macmillan was also shown the plan for the impressive sports stadium, to be completed in time for Nigeria’s Independence Day next October. Britain’s Prime Minister was touring the condemned slum area of Lagos. That his visit was popular is surely proved by these pictures. The Premier was naturally interested in the new houses going up in Lagos, and tenants were proud to show him round. Another highlight of the visit was his reception at the Island Club.
