MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Grand Prix Motor Racing. DESCRIPTION: The New Zealand Grand Prix took place at Ardmore. Sir Edmund Hillary, conqueror of Everest, was there to enjoy the race, and Mr Nash, New Zealand’s Prime Minister, met the drivers before the start. Almost at once, the lead was being contested by Jack Brabham and Stirling Moss. It was a runaway win for Brabham, closely followed home by Bruce McLaren. From Mr Nash, the laurels of victory.
