MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Japanese Protest. DESCRIPTION: About twenty-five thousand left-wing students and trade unionists protested against the presence of American troops in Japan. They were also demanding an end to Japan’s security alliance with the United States. The outburst took place when their parliament was debating a revision of the Treaty.
