- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Floods. DESCRIPTION: When the Salzach river (a tributary of the Danube) burst its banks, large areas (near the frontier between Austria and Germany) were felled. Many farms were completely cut-off and the saving of their livestock was vital. Great damage was done in three Austrian and several German provinces. Just as the first floods began to subside, more flood havoc was caused by the Danube itself. SHOTLIST: GV flood scene. MS bridge and high level of water. Another angle same.
