Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Into the Fairway. DESCRIPTION: A tale from Chiswick, where there stands two pubs beside the river. Here golfers gather to take a glass of ale. Teams from rival pubs, compete in carrying out a mighty feat, to drive the ball across the river. SHOTLIST: BS golfer (key). MS 2 men walking beside river. LS pub. MS sign another. MS pan - golfer with clubs walks through crowd. MS competitor pan down to basket of golf balls. BS golfer drives. MS ball drops into water. Higher angle - golfer drives pan up to river. MS ball drops into boys’ rowing boat. Low angle golfer drives. MS ball hits ground - pan boy runs away with same. BS golfer drives. MS pan - ball hits roof and rolls to river’s edge. LS swan.
