Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: International Horse Show. DESCRIPTION: It was the first day of the show at the White City. Ann Townsend (Great Britain), riding Bandit IV, took third place in The Horse and Hound Cup. Pat Smythe on Flanagan came second in the Manifesto Stakes. Big success of the day was Mr Hugh Wiley of the United States. Riding Nautical, he beat Pat Smythe by two seconds in the Manifesto Stakes. He then went on to win The Horse and Hound Cup, again riding Nautical. SHOTLIST: MS horse jumping. MS Anne Townsend jumping on ‘Bandit IV’, longer shot Pat Smythe jumping on ‘Flanagan’. LS Hugh Wiley (USA) jumping on ‘Nautical’ receives trophy.
