- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Diary. DESCRIPTION: The Chelsea Flower Show is probably the most famous of its kind in this country. When Her Majesty paid a visit there, she was greeted by Mr David Bowes Lyon, her uncle. (He is the President of the Royal Horticultural Society.) The Queen made a very thorough tour of the magnificent show and Mr Wheatcroft presented her with a rose. Princess Margaret was also there. Youngsters of Notting Hill were out in full force to greet Prince Philip during his informal visit to West London boys’ clubs. It was an exciting occasion for the boys, as the Prince walked round chatting to one after another, asking about their activities and their sports. SHOTLIST: Flowers (key). MS flowers. CU flowers.
