Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: John Foster Dulles (Obituary). DESCRIPTION: Through six dangerous years, John Foster Dulles was America’s Secretary of State. As President Eisenhower’s right-hand man, he formulated foreign policy, and was a firm believer in personal contacts. He flew from capital to capital, as one crisis followed another. The pitiless onslaught of disease forced him into hospital and retirement. But even there (as when Mr Macmillan went to see him with the President), he still remained in close touch with world affairs. Now, at the age of 71, he had died. SHOTLIST: Stock card (key).
