- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tibet Protest. DESCRIPTION: A big demonstration in New Delhi: a Tibetan delegation, who wished to present a petition to Mr Nehru, first paid tribute at the Gandhi cremation site and a former Tibetan Premier, Mr Lukhangwa, led the tribute and the prayers. The party of refugees, including Buddhist monks who had travelled with them, prayed that Tibet should be saved from the power of Communist China and especially for the Dalai Lama who has since escaped and been given asylum in India.
