- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Anti-Bomb March. DESCRIPTION: Over 50 miles to London from the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment at Aldermaston in Berkshire. That was how more than 4,000 people spent the Easter holiday as a protest against the Hydrogen Bomb. They all demanded that Britain should give up the bomb whatever other countries may do. Cannon John Collins, Chairman of the Campaign, was among the leaders and one of them, Sir Richard Acland, spoke about it. Trafalgar Square was the finishing line and here the protest was 15,000 strong. SHOTLIST: Procession (key). FS procession with giant banner ‘London from Aldermaston’. Longer shot same.
