Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Lion Escapes. DESCRIPTION: It’s circus time in New York and as the popular performance got under way, spectators were blissfully unaware of an extra un-rehearsed thrill: a lion, called Tonto, suddenly decided he’s tired of being fenced in. He bashed his way out and after being loose for ten minutes, he was caught and taken away by the trainer. SHOTLIST: Trapeze act (title). GV circus. MS pan - clown with skeleton attached. Low angle - artist falls into safety net. CU children look on. CU lion ‘Tonto’ runs around cage. TS people file along corridor. MS escaped lion prowling around. BS people look on. MS escaped lion. MS trainer with net. BS same. Closer - throws net on lion. MS lion back in cage.
