- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Muffling the Sound. DESCRIPTION: The problem of Jet-sound was tackled at London Airport. A member of the ground crew in a sound-proof booth received constant frequency signals, his hearing response being checked by an audiometer. After the hearing check, a new type of ear-muff was issued. It deadens jet noise, but permits normal conversation. SHOTLIST: Laboratory type (key).
