MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Film Show ‘The Horse’s Mouth’. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Film Performance took place at the Empire Cinema in London. Among a galaxy of stars present were Alec Guinness, Lauren Bacall, Richard Attenborough and his wife Sheila Sim, Ian Carmichael with Maurice Chevalier, Peter Sellers, Frankie Vaughan, Sir Tom O’Brien, Max Bygraves, Terry Thomas and Richard Todd. Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother who was accompanied by Princess Margaret, honoured the film performance by her presence. Inside the cinema, Her Majesty was received by Lord Rank. Then, the royal party proceeded up stairs, where those about to be honoured by presentation were waiting: Mr Ralph Bromhead, Mr Charles Goldsmith, Lauren Bacall, Max Bygraves, Ian Carmichael, Maurice Chevalier, Richard Todd, Janette Scott and Frankie Vaughan.
