MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Big Cyprus Fire. DESCRIPTION: A number of Cypriot houses and a large timber yard were involved in this Nicosia blaze. The fire broke out where the Greek and Turkish quarters meet: but on the Greek side of the area. That more Greek Cypriots were not rendered homeless was entirely due to the prompt work of firemen and members of the Security Forces. SHOTLIST: GV fire (key). GV blaze. MS same.
