DESCRIPTION: Security Forces in Cyprus are very much on the alert: and, commanded by Brigadier Read, troops have been engaged in Operation Swan Lake, an intensive search in Lysi and other near-by villages, where Greek Cypriots are suspected of helping the terrorists. With rejection of the British declaration, by Archbishop Makarios, and the Greek Government, tension has been mounting. Precautions are thorough.
