MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ken Wharton’s Crash. DESCRIPTION: At a sports-car race, near Auckland, New Zealand, Ken Wharton was at the wheel of a Ferrari when he met his fatal accident. A skid followed by collision with a steel tower threw him out of his somersaulting car. He died soon afterwards on his way to hospital. SHOTLIST: Various shots of Ken Wharton seated his car. Shot of the race. Shot of the car somersaulting (you can just see Ken Wharton being thrown from his car and landing on the road). People rushing to Ken Wharton. Ambulance arrives.
