Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Search for Kidnapped Officer. DESCRIPTION: Tanks were on patrol in Port Said during the search for 2nd Lieutenant Moorhouse, the 20 year old National Service Officer, kidnapped by the Egyptians. A section of the old town was cordoned off by British troops who made a systematic search of every building. It has since been reported that Lieutenant Moorhouse is being held somewhere in the Nile-Delta. Meanwhile, the troopship ‘Dilwara’ arrived at Southampton from Port Said with British Servicemen home for Christmas. SHOTLIST: Shot of soldier standing by a barbed wire fence. Various shots of tanks along the streets. British troops searching streets and buildings etc. Troops searching men etc. Shots of the men in a line with their hands on their heads.
