Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Floods. DESCRIPTION: Widespread flooding in the neighbourhood of Rovigo in Northern Italy was the result of stormy weather in the Adriatic. Heavy seas breached the embankments in the Po delta area, causing Italy’s biggest river to break its bank further upstream. Damage to cultivation was very extensive. SHOTLIST: Various shots of houses with the water level quite high. People in boats. Men putting sand into sandbags. Rocks being loaded onto boats. Sand bags being used. Shots of the running water.
