MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Margaret’s Tour. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Tour moved from Tanganyika to Kenya and Nairobi gave Princess Margaret a very warm welcome. Among many engagements, the inspection of Kenya coffee was an obvious priority. Kenya’s industrial activity also received royal attention, when the Princess visited Nairobi’s Railway Workshops. Kenya’s agricultural progress was on view at the Royal Show in Mitchell Park. At the Civic Luncheon, at the Stanley Hotel, Her Royal Highness was received by the Mayor. Later she attended the Garden Party, where many tribal chiefs had the honour of presentation. The great social event of the Nairobi visit was the Dinner Party at Government House.
