Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ice Closes Baltic and Snow in Sweden and Lapland. DESCRIPTION: At Copenhagen, the harbour froze up and about two hundred ships were ice bound. In Sweden, cars from several countries have been out to find the clue to still better fuels and lubricants for Arctic conditions. Up to Lapland where the reindeer and the Lapps enjoy sixty degrees of frost. SHOTLIST: Various shots of ships frozen in the Baltic Sea. Shot taken from inside a car of the car in front travelling along. TPS cars in a car park. MCU man scrapping ice off the car windscreen. 2 men pulling at the doors of the car - trying to get them open. Car drives into snow. Shot of men trying to push cars out of the snow. Lapland - Shots of men doing the frozen rope trick. Shot of reindeers. Man alights from a car and falls on the floor.
