Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of Britain Fly-Past. DESCRIPTION: Leading the fly-past on Battle of Britain day was a single Hurricane, recalling once again the victory of the Few. Jet fighters, in larger numbers than ever before, flew over London, this year. Among the distinguished onlookers on a Whitehall roof were Lord Dowding and Lord Trenchard. The last plane to fly over as a supersonic Hawker Hunter, which took only seconds to flash over the Capital. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Horse Guards parade, German aircraft and Spitfires and all planes up to newest jets on view. Lone Hurricane flies over London. People look up to skies. Formation bombers. Masses scared pigeons go up in flight. CU Alexander looking up, Slim ditto, Tedder and son looking up. Various people looking up. Oxford Circus people stop to look at planes going over. US Sabre jets over, meteors.
