Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trooping the Colour. DESCRIPTION: The Queen Mother and Princess Margaret drove to Horse Guards Parade to see the Trooping the Colour Ceremony. The Queen, as Colonel-in-Chief of the Scots Guards, wore the badge of that regiment in her tri-cornered hat. After the ceremony, Her Majesty rode back at the head of her Guards to take the salute at the Palace. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. CU Colour. GV parade. MS & CU Queen Mother & Princess Margaret arrive in open coach. Queen Elizabeth II rides onto parade. SCU of her, wearing uniform of Scots Guards. Royal Salute. Elevated & various shots of counter marching. CU officer shouting Escort to the Colour present arms, handing over of colour. CU officer shouting Slope Arms. GV escort. CU officer shouting Slow March. Escort start to slow march & troop the colour, various shots. Queen on horse Winston, having girth tightened. Queen with Duke of Gloucester as escort beside her. Various shots of the marchpast at quick time. Queen rides off the head of column. Elevated shot passing along the Mall. Buckingham Palace, Queen approaches, turns horse to face crowds outside rails of palace, Guards march past, Queen saluting. Queen rides into courtyard. On balcony, all Royal Family, Queen, Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, Duke of Edinburgh, Duke & Duchess of Gloucester, Duchess of Kent, Princess Royal, Prince Richard, all look up at Shackletons flying over in formation.
